Alitrans has deep roots in the Veneto region in Northern Italy. In 1971, Giulio Bresaola started Alitrans in Villafranca di Verona, the town where he and his family lived. From the beginning he envisioned Alitrans as an integral part of the community. His goal was not only to create a profitable company built on excellent service to customers. He also believed he had a responsibility to help invigorate the cultural and social life of the region where his employees and customers lived and raised their families.
Among the many associations, organizations and foundations Alitrans have sponsored and continue to support are:
Olympic basket Verona, a basketball team that trains disabled athletes at the national level.
Rita Levi Montalcini Foundation that offers training programs and educational scholarships to girls, women and children.
Verona Film Festival, an international film festival featuring films that reflect Verona’s special character as the city of Romeo and Juliet and the home of musical melodrama.
Alitrans is proud to support the work of these and other organizations that share its dedication to improving and enriching the lives of individuals and families in the Veneto region and beyond. Nicola Bresaola, president of Alitrans, is committed to carrying on his father’s legacy of giving back to the community in which their family business has grown and thrived.
